B2B Hosting Architecture

Sentinel is a data moving engine built in C++ and designed to run on any Windows 95, 98 or NT machine with access to the Internet. It can read any XML page and convert it into a format that can be pumped into any ODBC compliant back-end database. Here's how it works:

Host B2B Website
The Host B2B site serves up URLs with customer information in the XML format.

The Customer
The customer location has Sentinel running and connected to the internet. It polls the URLs at the Host B2B Website and reads the XML on that webpage. It converts the XML into a format that matches the customer's back-end database format. It then pumps that converted data into the back-end database, and creates a log of results.

Hands Free
Once Sentinel is installed and running, it is hands free, always watching for new data and information and pro-actively moves that information into the destination back-end databases.
