SpamSentinel 7.6.2.7
Version 7.6.2.7 Components and Updated Functionality
SpamSentinel Version 7.6.2.7 is extremely stable with improved blocking rates as high as 99.6%!

Other recent SpamSentinel features that we would like to call your attention to:

1) Support for 64-Bit Domino - SpamSentinel is currently the only anti-spam solution that supports 64-Bit Domino servers. A full installer is available at http://www.maysoft.com/ss

2) Managing Spam - We continue to recommend use of the Junk Mail folder for delivery of Undecided mail. This replaces the daily report. We have created a tool called Manage By Example or MBE. This tool allows the end user to easily manage Junk Mail via a drag and drop method. Read more, download the installer and view a one-minute video clip: http://www.maysoft.com/mbehelp.nsf

Administrative Changes

Domain Preferences (Hosted-Specific Feature)

You must set SSInstallType="2" using a formula agent to enable the Domain Preference lookup. We added the new Domain Preference form and view to the Admin database. Domain Preferences override Server configuration document settings. User Preferences override Domain Preferences.

The Scanner will convert existing fields listed in the Domain Preference "X Fields to Include" field to RFC822 Text fields. The field name will be prepended with "X_", for example RecipientsBak will become X_RecipientsBak. The Scanner will attempt to keep compatible data types the same. For example, a time field will become:

Data Type: RFC822 Text
RFC822 Type: DATE
RFC822 Flags: STRICT

In order to keep fields of type text list, the fields are converted to:

Data Type: RFC822 Text
RFC822 Type: ADDRESS
RFC822 Flags: STRICT LIST

If a field is already an RFC822 Text field, it is copied as is with the new name. Other data types such as numbers, and ranges, are converted to text since there is no compatible RFC822 type.

Outbound Word Lists

New fields have been added to the Black List tab to support Outbound Word lists. Remember, you can use Regular Expressions by enclosing the whole expression in double square brackets. For example: [[regular expression]]. Regular Expressions provide advanced searching and matching capabilities far superior to plain word lists.
