Table of Contents

To automatically update the Field Mapping Database from one or more data sources (and keep the Field Mapping Database up to date)
Switch to the Program Manager, and find the Sentinel icon:

Double click on that Icon to run the Sentinel Engine. Then Select "Tools/Field Mapper". The main screen will come up with a list of your current ODBC data sources, as follows:

Double click on a source for which you want a catalog, and the Sentinel will go to work!

Changing the location of the Field Mapping Database

If you want to change the location of the Field Mapping Database, select "Setup/Database Location". This brings you to the MayFlower Sentinel Setup screen:

Type LOCAL if the Field Mapper file exists on your Local drive, or type in the name of a server.

Note: If you select a server, only type the file name of the file relative to the Notes data directory (e.g. SENTINEL\FIELDMAP.NSF).
When you are ready to run, select one of the Data Sources, and click on the button (or type File Build).

Tip: You can select one or more Data Sources at one time by holding down the Control key while selecting one or more Data Sources.
Once you have selected one or more data sources, and click on the button , the Sentinel will begin populating this database with all the fields and tables from those sources. The screen will show progress while the engine is running.
